Our work with UTS monitoring Sydney Harbour’s temperate corals has found widespread recovery from the bleaching reported in April in response to cooler waters. Ongoing demography and physiological studies of the Sydney Harbour corals are providing much-needed information about how corals live in cooler climates and their potential as coral refuges as waters continue to warm.
